• Play / Stop — the reels only turn while the tape "moves", of course
• Rewind / Fast-forward — hold the button and watch the reels spool at high speed while the song scrubs
• Tape hiss — a gentle bed of filtered noise, the authentic sound of Type II chrome doing its best
• Wow & flutter — a slow wobble in playback speed, like a deck with a tired belt
